Are you a Civil Infrastructure Engineer looking to grow your technical and operational expertise across the world? Our client is looking to recruit an experienced and passionate Associate Infrastructure Engineer to join their London based team.
The team is built of a London team of around 30 Engineers ranging from Graduates through to Chartered Associates with a passion for infrastructure across the UK and overseas. You can expect to work on multiple exciting medium to large scale projects at one time, reporting to the Associate Director.

The role
- Managing the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, balancing demands and priorities, whilst reviewing civil infrastructure design, from project proposition through to construction. Plan project resources and finances and monitor job financial performance.
- Acting independently to investigate solutions, you will explore options, work closely with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders alike to develop, and communicate design solutions.
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, specification and schedules.
- Applying client focus you will be part of the work winning team securing the groups project pipeline.
- The management of technical staff, with responsibility for planning team workload, as well as assisting and mentoring staff where needed, and developing more junior team members.
- With the support of peers, provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.
- Where appropriate, facilitate and organise meetings and CPD training events to contribute to your own development and the development of others.
What you need to succeed
- Strong technical background in infrastructure design, with a demonstrable track record of leading a technical specialism in a core infrastructure discipline.
- Experience in MicroDrainage and / or InfoDrainage) and Civil 3D.
- Developing SuDS strategies for complex urban developments.
- A Member of a relevant professional institution.
- Experience of successful international multidisciplinary project delivery; demonstrating both the ability to manage and motivate the team, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A willingness to travel, and desire to lead continuous quality improvement in our work.
- Experience in the design and negotiation of flood compensation schemes in undefended high-risk flood zones, beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent written verbal and drawn communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- The ability to work with others and autonomously poses a growth mindset and an open, positive, and approachable attitude.
