This senior leadership role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Development Infrastructure Team with a strong focus on delivering high-quality built environment projects. The position ensures technical excellence, drives commercial performance, and oversees the successful delivery of a diverse project portfolio. It also works closely with the Team Director to proactively build the opportunity pipeline and support the strategic growth of the discipline.
You will play a key role in leading project delivery and contributing to operational and growth strategies. Responsibilities include providing leadership across a range of projects—spanning infrastructure, drainage, highways, and flood risk management.
We are seeking an experienced Chartered Associate Director with a strong background in civil or infrastructure engineering. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in an Associate Director role.

- Monitoring that infrastructure engineering design principles (e.g. drainage networks, external levels) and other civil engineering aspects (e.g. flood risk, vehicle tracking), are applied/addressed appropriately on team projects, undertaking reviews and providing team and practice wide guidance and coaching where required.
- Monitoring that relevant regulations and codes of practice are applied to team projects, providing team and practice wide guidance where required.
- Seek, identify, develop and pursue opportunities for new and existing business development.
- Representing the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.
- Providing effective team leadership – including resource allocation, performance management and recognition
