We are recruiting an Associate Structural Engineer to join the Ipswich office of a well-established, forward-thinking structural engineering consultancy. With a strong reputation for delivering practical, buildable solutions across a broad range of projects, they are seeking an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to take a key leadership role within a growing and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, client-facing engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and ambitious environment.
The successful candidate will join a close-knit team working across a diverse project portfolio, from bespoke residential developments to complex multi-storey schemes in central London. You’ll play a pivotal role in leading projects from concept through to completion, mentoring junior engineers and helping shape the technical direction of the team. This role offers genuine influence, autonomy, and the chance to contribute to projects that vary in scale, complexity and sector, ensuring no two days feel the same.
Our client is looking for a Chartered (or near-Chartered) Structural Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills. You’ll be comfortable engaging directly with clients, leading design discussions, and supporting less experienced engineers while maintaining a hands-on approach to engineering design.
