Chartered Asscociate Structural Engineer

As they continue to expand their London office, they are seeking an experienced and Chartered Associate Structural Engineer to join their team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting and challenging projects, collaborating with a dedicated and professional team of engineers.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director and other team members to develop and mentor the team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
  • Utilise industry-standard software such as TEDDS, TEKLA, SICA, or similar tools for analysis and design purposes.
  • Develop and review technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in resource management, project delivery, and client relationship building to secure new opportunities and expand existing client base.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience as a Structural Engineer.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles for concrete and steel structures, with additional knowledge of masonry and timber preferred.
  • Chartered membership of the Institution of Structural or Institution of Civil Engineers.
  • Proficient in current Eurocodes and experienced in both new build designs and the assessment of existing structures.
  • Skilled in utilising software tools such as TEDDS, TEKLA, SICA, or similar for analysis and design purposes.
  • Proven track record of leading, managing, and running structural engineering design projects.
  • Strong ability to work within deadlines, budgets, and schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write compelling proposals and deliver engaging presentations to clients.
  • Thorough knowledge and technical proficiency in all aspects of structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in IT solutions for preparing and checking designs.
  • Established coaching and mentoring skills.
