Are you a Civil Infrastructure Engineer in Berkshire with a heavy background in drainage? We have an opening for a Civil Drainage Engineer to join an award-winning independent design consultancy in Bristol. You can expect work on the drainage solutions during the development of the masterplan, as part of planning works, detailed design works and subsequent maintenance works including drainage strategies, SuDS design, pumping station design and microdrainage modelling across onsite roads, levels and drainage for residential, commercial, employment, education, health, leisure and logistical developments.

What you need to succeed
- Ideally a degree in civil engineering or similar with 3 years’ relevant post graduate experience.
- A good knowledge of highway and drainage design.
- Knowledge and experience of highway design standards – DMRB and Manual for Streets.
- Experience of meeting attendance to discuss issues with clients, architects, contractors, local authorities and other statutory bodies.
- Experience of producing design pack for outline or detailed planning up to tender and construction.
- Good understanding and use of software packages including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Site 3D and Causeway Flow (alternatively MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage).
- Experience in the design of both commercial and residential developments including infrastructure, external works and drainage.
- Knowledge and experience of highway and drainage adoption processes and legal requirements for S278, S38 and S104.
- Knowledge and experience of earthworks strategies and cut & fill analysis.
