The role:
- As a Graduate / Civil Engineer within the civils team, your primary focus will be to undertake civil engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- The ideal candidate will be able to use their skills and knowledge to add value to a wide range of construction projects within the civils sector. Current projects include Highways, Drainage, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Petrochemical, Food and Energy.
- In your role, you will contribute to and oversee the production of technical drawings, calculations, and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions. You will be expected maintain high technical standards and build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues.
- You will be required to plan your work in a structured manner, working with colleagues in addressing peaks and troughs in resource demand, and help to prioritise project delivery.
What you need to succeed:
- You should be proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player.
- A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a master's degree would be an advantage).
- Ideally 1 to 3 years post-graduate experience in civil engineering.
- Experience and interest in Highways preferred.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
- Capable in the effective use of industry-standard software such as AutoCAD. Some experience in Civil 3D and InfoDraiange preferred.
