We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Civil Engineer to join our clients team in London, working on a wide range of infrastructure and drainage projects across the UK. What you need to succeed:
- At least 5 years of UK private sector experience
- Design of private infrastructure (ideally for the logistic sector)
- Drainage design (+ relevant softwares: MicroDrainage and/or Flow)
- Ground modelling, cut and fill, level design (C3D with use of feature lines)
- Flood Risk Assessment (zones 1-3)
- Paving design (including external yard slabs to TR66)
- Highways design is advantageous but not a strict requirement
- Right candidate should be used to being a civil design lead with an aspiration to project manage multidisciplinary projects
- Familiar with D&B contract dynamic (and working as novated engineer)
The role:
- Detailed designs for highways, drainage, and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.
- Produce and review technical documentation including flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and feasibility studies.
- Support or lead the coordination of projects from concept through to construction, working closely with clients, architects, and other consultants.
- Assist in the preparation of planning applications and provide technical input for planning submissions.
- Liaise with local authorities, statutory bodies (e.g. Lead Local Flood Authorities, Water Companies), and contractors to ensure smooth project progression.
- Incorporate sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and ensure all designs meet environmental and legislative requirements.
- Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and project managers in a collaborative team environment.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members and contribute to their technical development.
