What you need to succeed:
- You should be proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player.
- A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a master's degree would be an advantage).
- A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in civil & structural engineering.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
- Capable in the effective use of industry-standard software for structural analysis and design.
- A sound knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and team members.
- Full UK driving licence.
The role:
- The ideal candidate will be able to use their skills and knowledge to add value to a wide range of construction projects across the complete construction spectrum. Current projects include Schools, Colleges & Universities, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Petrochemical, Food and Energy.
- As an established Engineer within the civil and structural team, your primary focus will be to undertake civil / structural engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- You will contribute to and oversee the production of technical drawings, calculations, and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions. You will be expected to provide technical guidance to junior engineers, maintain high technical standards and build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- You will be required to plan your work in a structured manner, working with colleagues in addressing peaks and troughs in resource demand, and help to prioritise project delivery.
