The Opportunity
We’re working with a well-established civil engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Contract Civil Design Engineer to support a growing pipeline of residential development projects.
This is a hands-on design role with a strong focus on highways and infrastructure, particularly around works associated with public highway interfaces.
The Role
You’ll be involved in the delivery of civil engineering design packages across residential schemes, with responsibilities including:
- Highways and infrastructure design
- Section 278 works (public highway improvements)
- Supporting residential development projects
- Working in line with DMRB standards
- Producing technical drawings and design outputs
- Liaising with internal teams and stakeholders where required
Requirements
- Strong experience in civil design within the UK
- Proven background working on residential development projects
- Experience delivering S278 / highways works
- Good working knowledge of DMRB standards
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
