The role

  • Help support the group’s hydraulic modelling capability
  • Work on a range of domestic and international engineering projects, from a building scale to regional analysis
  • Interpreting modelling results
  • Problem solving to develop practical engineering solutions; and
  • Coordinating work with other members of the project team both internally and externally.

What you need to succeed

  • A passion for computational hydraulic modelling
  • Experience of modelling complex fluvial analysis
  • Experience or a desire to develop flood risk mitigation measures
  • Range of hydraulic software packages (TUFLOW is preferred)
  • GIS knowledge (QGIS)
  • Ability to communicate technical subjects
  • Proactive character, who enjoys working in a team, with a desire to learn
  • Good computer and IT skills. Use of Microsoft Office software essential.
