Hydraulic Modeller

Are you a passionate Hydraulic Modeller based in London looking for an exceptional opportunity? Our client is looking for a self-driven Modeller to join their expanding London office within the Flood Risk Management team.

In the past few years the our clients water team has worked on more than 150 different projects, in the UK, North America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for computational hydraulic modelling skills and sustainable Flood Risk Management.

The role

• Help support the group’s hydraulic modelling capability.
• Work on a range of domestic and international engineering projects, from a building scale to regional analysis.
• Interpreting modelling results.
• Problem solving to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinating work with other members of the project team both internally and externally.

What you need to succeed

• Experience of modelling complex fluvial analysis.
• Experience or a desire to develop flood risk mitigation measures.
• Range of hydraulic software packages (TUFLOW is preferred).
• GIS knowledge (QGIS).
• Ability to communicate technical subjects.
• Proactive character, who enjoys working in a team, with a desire to learn
• Good computer and IT skills. Use of Microsoft Office software essential.
