Immediate Start: Civil Engineer

Our client is hiring for an immediate start Civil Engineer to support their heavy workload. They are specialists in providing a complete infrastructure engineering service – from foul water drainage to road planning.

They have an immediate opening for an Engineer who is experienced in drainage, flood risk and highways-based projects to join their term on a part time basis of 15-22 hours per week.

They have extensive expertise in devising cost effective drainage strategy designs for foul and surface water systems using the latest drainage design software, for residential, commercial and agricultural developments. This can be a standalone service or may be incorporated into a full development civil engineering design package.

Additionally, they undertake Flood Risk Assessments in all parts of the UK, gaining support in even the most sensitive flooding locations. They consider all aspects of flood risk, and they will ensure they understand they project needs to ensure the appropriate level of mitigation is identified to reduce the potential impact of flooding.

The ideal applicant should have experience in:

• Foul and surface water drainage strategies
• SUDS management and maintenance plans
• SUDS verification reporting
• Transport Statements
• Drainage design for S104/S106/S185 approval
• Highway design for S38/S278 approval
• Surface water management for agricultural development
• Land drainage consent applications
• Technical assistance with highway, LLFA and planning authorities
