Senior Structural Engineer

Our client who is based in Hammersmith, are in search of a talented and aspiring Structural Engineer with a minimum of ten years’ experience to join their ever-growing team.  Within this role you will be responsible for assisting other Engineers with projects, conducting research, and writing reports. The ability to follow instructions is a minimum requirement, but the successful candidate will also need to display that they can take initiative, brief and manage others, undertake independent learning and come up with original ideas to ensure delivery of our clients aims.

What You Need To Succeed

  • A minimum of 10 years senior engineer experience at UK based design consultancy.
  • Design experience with variety of materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
  • Proficient in structural software including Tekla Tedds & Tekla Structural Designer.
  • Undertake the role of assigned mentor alongside a more structured, agreed training plan for junior staff.
  • Write reports, read and sign off reports of technical staff.
  • Excellent written, drawn and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent team working and leadership skills.
  • Participate in development of the company through feedback – both raising concerns as well as making suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
  • Develop relationships with existing collaborators and seek out relationships with potential partners.
  • Chartered with IStructE or ICE (preferred but not essential).
  • MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
