Our client is an award winning multi disciplinary design consultancy and they are seeking Senior or Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team in Cambridge. We are dedicated to delivering sustainable developments throughout the UK.
What are we looking for.
We seek an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a talent to think outside the box, who enjoys a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions to the various technical and environmental challenges land development can present.
We ideally want – someone with 3-5 years proven experience of land development and good 2D CAD skills; experienced in preparing General Arrangement, plans and construction details and with some capability in developing 3D skills, and familiar with the following software
1. Autodesk CAD – Essential
2. Civils 3D design – Preferable
3. Site 3D – Preferable
4. Infodrainage /Microdrainage - essential
A proven knowledge/track record of preparing technical submission drawings for S38/S278 and S104 submissions.
Your key areas of knowledge and expertise:
HNC or BEng Civil Engineering degree
Consultancy/private sector development background with experience working on residential development.
Experience preparing highway and drainage designs for both private and adoptable works.
Experience in the production of technical drawings for tender and construction purposes for a variety of infrastructure projects.
Numerate and software literate including experience and knowledge of 3D modelling software, Microdrainage and AutoCAD.
Ideally good experience of the legal, planning, and technical consent, adoption and contract procedures for the design and implementation of highway and drainage in new developments and regeneration projects including Section 38/278 and/or Section 104 agreements.
Experience applying the principles, design codes and standards set out Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design guides, the SuDS Manual, DCG, etc.
