Known for delivering practical, high-quality engineering solutions across the residential sector. They are currently seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead their team in Hammersmith. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading teams, developing client relationships, and playing a key role in the delivery of technically robust projects.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and forward-thinking engineering team working primarily on residential developments, including housing schemes and low-rise apartment projects. You will take a leading role in both project delivery and team development, overseeing engineers and technicians while maintaining close relationships with clients and project stakeholders. What You Need To Succeed
- Significant experience in structural design for residential developments, particularly housing and low-rise apartments.
- Ability to lead and mentor engineers and technicians, supporting their professional development.
- Strong experience managing projects and coordinating with architects, developers, and other consultants.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design software and BIM workflows.
- Confident client-facing skills, with the ability to maintain and develop professional relationships.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and structural design standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Chartered Engineer status with the IStructE/ICE (or actively working towards) is highly desirable.
- A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
