We’re looking for a Project Structural Engineer to join a long-established multi-disciplinary consultancy based near Finchley in North London. Providing Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying and Project Management services, the practice is known for its collaborative culture, technical excellence, and commitment to professional development. They are now looking for a talented Project Structural Engineer to join their growing structural team and contribute to an impressive portfolio of projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive engineering team, contributing to a wide range of projects across the residential, commercial and educational sectors, with construction values ranging up to £25 million. You’ll take ownership of your own schemes – from structural inspections and refurbishments through to new-build developments – while benefiting from close mentoring with senior engineers. The role offers a genuine chance to progress towards Chartership with the IStructE or ICE, supported by both structured and on-the-job training.
We’re seeking an ambitious and proactive engineer with around two to six years of structural design experience, ideally working towards Chartership. You’ll bring a strong understanding of building structures, the ability to work independently within a close-knit team, and a genuine passion for delivering creative and efficient design solutions.

What You Need To Succeed
- Two to six years’ experience as a Structural Engineer in a UK design consultancy.
- Working knowledge of Tekla TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA Engineer, or CADS A3D Max.
- Experience designing in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
- Ability to produce and review calculations and drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients and design teams.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and keen to develop within a respected consultancy.
- Ambition to achieve Chartered Engineer status with the IStructE.
- MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
