Structural Engineer

We are exclusively working with a fast growing and well-respected design consultancy, who are looking to add to their team in Manchester office.

Due to the high increase of working coming in, they are currently in search of a dynamic and passionate Structural Engineer with a minimum of three years post graduate experience. You will be working on a variety of stimulating and complex projects including residential, commercial, data centre and refurbishments.

The Role:

  • Being a team player by providing guidance to less experienced staff
  • Producing engineering designs in line with client requirements
  • Working as part of a team on structural engineering schemes throughout the UK
  • Reviewing models, drawings and other design information prepared by other staff
  • Reviewing contractor design information and test results etc
  • Attending site visits as and when required.
  • Writing specifications and reports

What You Will Need To Succeed:

  • BA or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent too)
  • Progressing towards MIStructE or MICE.
  • A minimum of three years design experience with a UK design consultancy.
  • Proficient in structural software including: Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer and Robot.
  • Knowledge with Revit would be advantageous.
  • Experience with industrial projects would be desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
