We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer or experienced Civil Engineer to join our clients award winning Civil and Structural team.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of projects, leading day to day technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services from feasibility through to planning, detailed design and construction.

The role:
- Develop technical highway and drainage designs to support S104, S38 and S278 applications.
- Undertake a variety of technical assessments for new developments.
- Explain technical concepts to others including colleagues and clients.
- Check technical outputs, drawings and reports produced by junior staff.
- Report to Senior Management
- Act as ‘Supervisor’ for projects across all organisations.
- Identify resource and outsource projects where required
- We design SuDS drainage schemes and highway works using Microdrainage and PDS industry standard software with final drawings produced in AutoCAD.
- Lead and mentor project teams, overseeing engineers of varying experience levels.
What you need to succeed:
- BEng, Meng, MSc, HND or HNC in Civil Engineering together with a minimum 4 years post qualification experience working within an engineering consultancy environment.
- Be able to produce drainage and highway drawings, design calculations, technical reports and site appraisals.
- Knowledge of UK planning procedures and relevant design codes such as Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Local Authority Design Guidance and preparation of technical approvals.
- Working understanding of technical software including AutoCAD, Microdrainage/Flow, Causeway Live/PDS/Civil 3D and AutoTrack.
- Experience working with residential developers
- Strong written and verbal skills in English
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative on technical matters and provide support or mentoring to others within the team
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
