Senior Civil Engineer

This consultancy are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to provide design expertise and support on a varied range of schemes from small highway improvements to large residential and commercial developments within one of the UK’s leading independent consultancies.

For the right individual, this is an excellent opportunity to help develop a strategically important sector of the business. Our client is currently engaged in lots of projects ranging from small scale developments up to larger scale projects of up to 5000 residential units and supporting infrastructure.

What you need to succeed:

• Knowledge and experience of highway design standards – Local Highway Authority, Manual for Streets, LTN1/20 and DMRB.
• Knowledge and experience of drainage design standards – Sewers for Adoption, Sewerage Sector Guidance, Code of Adoption Agreement and The SuDS Manual (CIRIA C753)
• Knowledge of highway and drainage adoption processes and legal requirements for S278, S38 and S104 works.
• Good understanding and use of software packages including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Site3D and Micro Drainage.
• Good knowledge of standard engineering practices and a demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety including CDM
• Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to maintain good records
