Are you a Senior Civil Engineer with a track record in infrastructure development? We are currently looking for a passionate Engineer to join a global team in Hampshire. Our client is looking to expand their Southampton office with talented individuals. You can expect to work on diverse range of projects from city wide master-planning to infrastructure for water, energy, rail, highways, aviation and building projects. You’ll be a part of a large team built of engineers and technicians, delivering work in a variety of markets such as Transport, Energy, Water, Industry, Science and Property.

The role
- Managing multidisciplinary engineering projects, planning resources and monitoring commercial performance.
- Leading the preparation and review of technical deliverables relevant to civil engineering including drawings, reports, specifications and presentations.
- Line managing a small number of technical staff (engineers and technicians) including appraisals and performance development.

What you need to succeed
- A highly motivated individual, you will ideally be Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status of a relevant professional institution (such as ICE or equivalent).
- Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Strong technical background in one or more areas relevant to civil engineering (earthworks, roads and streets, public realm, utilities, flood risk and drainage) as a core specialism, as well as a wider interest in a complementary aspect of infrastructure development (planning and project management, sustainability, carbon management, infrastructure resilience, etc).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and an ability to interact with clients and other members of the professional team with confidence.
- A track record of successful project completion in UK and/or internationally.
- An ability to motivate and lead others.
- An ability to focus on design excellence and a willingness to contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- An ability to manage a complex and varied workload often involving multiple concurrent project.
