You’ll be joining a team who have extensive experience working on sites with contaminated soils, polluted waters and hazardous gases and vapours. You can expect to work on the earliest stages through to end delivery, you can be assured capability in managing all possible ground related risks, such as contaminated land. Day to day tasks will involve working on the following:
- Ground investigation

The role
- Providing high-quality geotechnical support to our clients in the development of bespoke, sustainable, structural engineering and infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas.
- Technical input into deliverables including specifications, design reports, and geotechnical interpretation.
- Analysis including soil structure interaction, geotechnical numerical modelling, geotechnical substructure, and earthworks design
- Mentoring and technical support for colleagues.
- Technical input to derive innovative and sustainable solutions to ground related challenges.
- Liaise with clients and maintain our strong, unique work culture within the industry.
- Collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines to provide coordinated design solutions.
- Leading and managing project discipline input on projects.
- Playing an active role in supporting work-winning and client relationship management in a ground engineering context.
What you need to succeed
- You will hold a master's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or equivalent.
- You will be used to taking the initiative and responsibility for your assignments and you have an ability to achieve excellent results through teamwork.
- You must have significant geotechnical design experience across a range of projects typologies.
- Ability to develop pragmatic, cost effective and sustainable solutions
- To have experience delivering projects with a strong technical focus including geotechnical interpretation and design.
- To have experience of soil and rock engineering including foundation design, slope stability assessment and tunnelling/underground construction.
