Senior Hydraulic Modeller

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Hydraulic Modeller to join their dynamic and growing Clean Water Networks Team in Glasgow. You will be involved in the delivery of a range of projects and services to our UK clients, through activities including the following:

  • Creation, verification, and maintenance of hydraulic models (including planning and overseeing field tests).
  • Data Management and analysis of asset data for network modelling and network management.
  • Use of existing hydraulic models for a range of needs, including design of assets, operational support, and planning.
  • Use of models to understand system performance, design system improvements and enhancements to clean water networks, considering key factors including customer service levels, resilience, growth, leakage, water quality.
  • Pressure Management and Network Optimisation, at various scales from sub-DMA to large zonal schemes. This may include trialling of new software and approaches, to ensure client needs are met.
  • Developer Impact Assessment and growth studies encompassing a range of complex needs.
  • Use of modelling and statistical analysis to investigate asset risk to enable appropriate management of water assets.
  • Liaison with clients and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects to time, cost, and quality.
  • Preparation of deliverables including technical reports, hydraulic models, presentations, and web-based reporting.
