Senior Transport Planner

Our client is an awarding winning consultancy and are expanding their Transport team in Central Bristol. They provide commercially targeted technical solutions for development and the team has a wealth of experience on technical and policy matters across a wide variety of schemes and land uses, which includes residential, health, education, retail, energy, leisure, and employment.

You will work on and be involved in managing several exciting, complex projects. You will deliver market leading consultancy advice, necessitating a sound understanding of client requirements on projects and recognition of competing stakeholders’ interests with effective resource management.

What you need to succeed

  • Access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport, S106 agreements, S278 agreements and guidance such as NPPF, DfT Transport Assessment guidelines, Manual for Streets etc.
  • Use of the TRICS database.
  • Setting up and running PICADY’s and ARCADYS (Junctions 10).
  • An understanding of LINSIG and can carry this modelling out.
  • The principles of micro-simulation and strategic models/modelling.
  • Junction design (priority, roundabout, signals).
  • Experience with preparing Transport Statements, Assessments, Travel Plans and Construction Traffic Management Plans and inputs to Environmental Impact Assessment.
