We have an opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join the consultancy division of an engineering contractor based in Slough, delivering a diverse portfolio of structural projects across the UK. This role will support a close-knit and highly experienced team, being a hands-on role offering a mix of design, analysis, and site-based engineering, ideal for someone who enjoys solving real-world structural challenges.
This opportunity offers exposure to an incredibly varied project portfolio, including listed buildings, historic monuments, churches, bridges, and residential properties. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of engineers and site specialists, contributing to both temporary works and permanent refurbishment designs. The role goes beyond pure calculations – you’ll be actively involved in assessing existing structures, advising on strengthening solutions, and developing practical, buildable designs. With a strong emphasis on long-term development, the business is committed to supporting chartership and nurturing engineers through to senior leadership – evidenced by team members who have progressed from junior roles to director level.
The client is looking for a proactive and technically capable engineer who combines strong analytical ability with practical problem-solving skills. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day – it requires curiosity, communication, and a willingness to engage with projects from concept through to site delivery.
