Structural Engineer

Our client is looking to add a talented Structural Engineer who has 2-5 years of experience to their every-growing team in Belfast. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creative design and structural analysis, who are interested in complex structures and the challenges that come with them and have strong digital engineering and modelling skills.

Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other key stakeholder of various disciplines.
• You will be a key part of a project team in delivering projects including the preparation of structural analysis, described structural calculations and specifications.
• Undertaking site inspections and assessments to provide technical support and ensure the integrity of structural designs.
• Work on projects of various sizes and complexity, which includes offices, education, and large residential projects.

Qualifications: 

• MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• You’ll have worked in a similar role previously and have the proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• You’ll have a deep understanding of structural analysis, finite element modelling and structural design.
• Proficient in Tekla modelling is required.
• You are organised and orderly in your approach to managing your tasks and priorities.
• Strive to meet deadlines and have a close appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.
• You are working actively towards Chartership
