We have an opportunity for a Structural Technician to join a well-established, independent construction consultancy based in North London. With a reputation built on technical excellence and client trust, they provide expert services in Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying and Project Management. We are now looking for a talented Structural Technician to join their growing team near Finchley and contribute to a diverse portfolio of structural projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team working across residential, commercial, and educational projects ranging from small refurbishments to major new-build developments up to £25m in construction value. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and surveyors, gaining exposure to all stages of project delivery – from initial inspections and concept design through to detailed drawings and site coordination. The role offers the chance to refine your technical skills, develop your use of industry-leading software, and be part of a practice that values professional growth and teamwork.
We’re seeking a proactive Structural Technician with between two and eight years’ experience, who is confident producing high-quality drawings and technical details. You should have solid AutoCAD skills and ideally be comfortable with Revit. This role will suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering precise and coordinated design work.

What You Need To Succeed
- Two to eight years’ experience as a Structural Technician within a UK design consultancy.
- Experienced with AutoCAD (essential) and Revit (preferred but not essential).
- Experience preparing detailed drawings for a range of structures, from small residential to larger commercial and educational projects.
- Ability to interpret engineers’ designs and produce accurate technical documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm to grow within a close-knit professional team.
- Educated to HNC/HND level (or equivalent).
