Technical Co-ordinator

Strata Consulting have been appointed by an established house builder to appoint a Technical Coordinator/ Design Coordinator in Bristol.

The Company:

An expanding regional house developer with a driven and friendly team are looking for a Technical Coordinator to join their technical design team due to successful business growth.
They are based in Bristol and cover developments in the South West region, working on new build housing developments at a high spec level.

The Role:

As Technical Co-ordinator, you will be expected to manage four sites from inception through to completion whilst managing and monitoring site progress. You will be responsible for costs, budgets, design and the consultants involved, liaising with architects and sub-contractors to coordinate technical information throughout the project team. You will work closely and report directly to the Technical Manager and will provide good support to the technical department.

As Technical Co-ordinator you will be based from the Bristol office with flexible home working when required and you will need to have the full UK driving license as there will be travel to site locations from time to time.

You:

You will have experience working at a Technical Coordinator capacity and have a sound understanding of residential development working with a house builder, consultancy or main contractor producing housing schemes. Ideally, this developer is looking for someone with a very good design knowledge but has also has a understanding of engineering, managing design functions on site, along with good knowledge of building regulations and sustainable homes legislation.

This role will also offer you quick career progression if this is something you want to pursue. We are open to considering applicants from a consultancy background who are looking to progress their career within design/technical management.

What you need to Succeed:

• Previous experience as a Technical Coordinator or Design Coordinator or consultancy equivalent
• Architecture degree, engineering degree or equivalent
• Strong management and communication skills
• Major developer background (volume house building) is desirable
• Good organisation skills with the ability to keep accurate records of detailed information
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Achieve key deadlines
• Full UK driving license
