Transport Planner

We are seeking a talented Transport Planner to support our clients growing London office. Our client is a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide.

The role

The work we obtain will be varied and will include preparation of feasibility reports, transport assessments, travel plans and related transport reports. You will also be proactive in keeping up to date with current practices, guidelines etc. in our field. You will undertake site visits as required.

The role will involve some client liaison, such as attending meetings and assisting with work winning through preparing fee proposals. Full support will be provided on a day-to-day basis by an experienced transport planning professional.

What you need to succeed

• Knowledge of transport assessment and travel plan methodologies
• Experience using software packages such as TRICS, Junctions 9 or 10 and LinSIG
• Previous UK work experience
• Methodical approach to problem solving and attention to detail
• Ability to produce clear, precise and coherent analysis, reports and drawings
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a skilled multi-disciplinary team
• Professional Accreditation, such as MCIHT, MICE, MCILT, TPA
• Experience of analysing, collating and interpreting data
• Knowledge of highway design principles relevant to site access design
• An ability to use AutoCAD and GIS software
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
