A great opportunity has arisen for an Associate Structural Engineer to join a rapidly growing engineering consultancy in their Farringdon office. This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to influence project delivery, mentor engineers, and contribute to the continued success of the expanding London office of a wider national business.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and technically strong structural engineering team working across a broad mix of sectors including education, residential, industrial & logistics, government (MoJ & MoD), leisure, hotels, commercial developments, and theatres. Projects range from complex new-build schemes to an increasing volume of refurbishment and adaptive reuse work, providing excellent technical variety. You’ll play a central role in leading project teams, managing client relationships, and driving innovative design solutions while contributing to the strategic growth of the London office.
Our client is looking for a confident and commercially aware Associate Structural Engineer who is ready to step into a leadership position. You will be comfortable overseeing multiple projects, guiding junior engineers, and acting as a key point of contact for clients. What You Need To Succeed
- Proven experience in structural engineering design across multiple sectors.
- Strong technical capability in materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Experience leading projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g. Tekla, Tedds, ETABS, Robot, or similar).
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to project delivery.
- Chartered Engineer status with the IStructE/ICE, or close to achieving it.
- A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
